H200 - Automations are not under hub control
H200 - Automations are not under hub control

My automations are not under hub control - hub H200.
The toilet leak sensor and door sensor are paired with the Tapo H200, of course.

Just confirmed with the tech team, the ringing action for H200 is not supported in local smart. There is a plan for optimization but no ETA so far.

So for now: hub ringing action, multiple triggers or if you add "IF" to the automation, then it won't work locally with H200 hub.

I noticed that some of the existing local smart automation rules include the water leak sensor and the contact sensor. Are they the same as the devices that cannot set up local smart at the moment?

no, I have few of them, they are paired with h100 and local automation working fine for that hub with them.
These 2 sensors now are paired with the hub h200.
They were/are working fine when paired with the hub h100 (local Automations).
I just wanted to move all my sensors to h200 hub but I'm holding now, due to local automation cant be create :p

Hi @SugarBaby,
I've been watching with interest... I had a quick play and found when I added "Turn on notifications" of a T110 or T100 device to a local smart action automation it stopped being marked as local... I remove that device and it went local again. Seems
Note it was a very simple automation: "When T100 sensors movement then turn on light for 3 mins". I just added a second action to turn on notifications and it stopped being local.
All devices mentioned above are connected to a single H200. Seems like some devices are not operating correctly as local.
Not sure if this helps you or @Wayne-TP.

Interesting, thx. I added a H200 ring action and it stayed as local... then I added a H100 ring as well and it removed local so I then removed the H100 ring action and it didn't go back to local. Clearly some strange things going on there....
So if I create a new automation with a H200 ring as the action it goes local... but once you edit it, it seems to remove local... whether it works local after first creating it I do not know.

actually, I accidentally left the above (prev post) test automation active (with the H200 ring) and it triggered ... and the app automatically removed the local action indicator from the automation. so it seems like local does not work with H200 action, but the App does not update correctly in some cases.

because local automation will work only for devices paired with hub, it can't communicate between 2 hubs without cloud (locally) if I understand correctly what you described
