Model: Tapo H200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.2

Hi,

I have noticed some erratic behaviour with my H200 hub ever since updating the firmware to 1.5.2. It randomly just crashes now and then. Every device connected to it goes offline, and the only way to fix it is by turning it off and on again by cycling the power. Is there a way for me to roll back the firmware or for this bug to be investigated, as this has only become an issue since updating?

These are the devices I have connected to it:

  • Doorbell (D230)
  • S200D
  • 2x T100

Thanks

Besides the hub's sub-devices go offline, what other phenomenons do you notice? Does the hub itself stay online? What's the status of its LED? Can you still managing the hub, like make it ring?

Hi @Wayne-TP, thanks for the reply.

So besides the hub's sub-devices going offline, the hub itself also goes offline. When this happens, the hub has a red solid light, which, from some reading online, seems to indicate an issue with Startup or Connection Problems. The only way to fix it is by turning the power off and on again. When it is in this state, I can't make it ring, view the doorbell camera or use any of my smart switches.

Thanks

How's the hub connected to the router? Wired or wireless? If it was wirelessly connected, try to switch it to ethernet connection, then monitor its performance.

Could you clarify the color of the LED light? Is it actually red? Could it be orange? Some references:

1. H200 will show a solid red light while starting up.

2. If the device is not configured, it will flash red and green during the initial setup state.

3. A solid orange light indicates that the connection to the cloud server is disconnected, but it is still connected to the router.
