Problem new Camera C520WS 530WS Connection
have the following issue with my cameras: I mounted them in my attic. I’ve successfully been running a C500 camera there for quite some time now. It’s connected via Wi-Fi. No problems at all. Since I have Wi-Fi coverage across my entire property, this shouldn’t really be a problem.
Later, I installed two additional cameras. Both worked perfectly at first, but as soon as I moved my iPhone away from the attic, they stopped working. I thought it was a Wi-Fi signal issue. So, I tried various solutions—using repeaters and so on—but nothing worked.
In the end, I painstakingly installed a network cable throughout the house, up to the attic. I connected the first camera, a C520 WS, with the LAN cable. Everything seemed to work fine at first. However, then the same phenomenon appeared: As soon as I moved about 10 meters away from the camera, it became unreachable. As mentioned, it’s now connected to the network via LAN cable, so the connection can’t be the problem.
Why, then, is the camera’s accessibility dependent on the distance of my iPhone? I just don’t get it. I’ve already invested a lot of time and money into this. I’d really like to get my C520 WS and the second C530 WS up and running.
