Model: Tapo C100   Tapo C200  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.16

When I click to disable the time stamp display or to enable the text display I get error "Failed, please try again later".

 

Information about my devices and app:

 

 

 

 

I tried:

- reboot the camera

- reset the camera (method 2, remove the camera from Tapo account, and add it again)

- reboot the phone

- verify that I'm using the latest firmware and Tapo app version

- install the Tapo app on another phone and try to change the settings form there

- verify that I have access to the camera, and can change all other settings

 

I have 6 cameras Tapo C100 and 2 Tapo C200. They all have this issue.

Hi All, 
We have a Tapo trial app that may resolve the reported behavior where the error "Failed, please try again later" appears when disabling "Display Time Stamp" or enabling "Display Text". If you encounter the same behavior, you can try to uninstall the Tapo app and refer to the link to download and install the Tapo trial app.

The official Tapo app, which resolves the reported behavior, will be released in the near future. Please keep your Tapo app up to date to see if the reported behavior resolves.

Hi, 
1. We suggest removing the camera's MAC address from the thread.

 

2. It's recommended to uninstall the Tapo app on your phone, copy this link, and paste it into your phone's browser, then download the Tapo debug app and install it on your phone. Then test if the reported phenomenon persists.

 

3. What's the model number and OS version of your phone?

Thank you! I tried the app from your link. It works exactly the same way. 
I tried with Honor 200 Pro and Honor 400 Pro. Both Android 15.

Hi,
If the same behavior occurs after installing the Tapo debug app, please follow the steps below to export the app log for further analysis.

  1. Use the Tapo debug app to try to reproduce the reported behavior. 

 

  2. After that, go to Tapo app > Me > About page, click the Tapo icon 10 times (Please agree if the Tapo app requests storage permission, so that the log can be saved to your phone), and then the log will be imported to the mobile phone directory-TPLINK folder.

 

 3. Click the Share button to send us the log files. If you have a ticket ID after sending the log files, please send it to us to find your log files.
