C720 firmware update
Hi, brand new c720, straight out of the box won't update the firmware. I have other tapo cameras (tc82, c210, d230) so I know what I'm doing. Sd card from another tapo camera inserted, and wifi signal is -27 RSSI. but it just sits there with a green flashing light, after 30mins. Any suggestions, or is the camera faulty?
Thanks

Hi,
You can try the following steps to see if they help in your case.
1. Reboot your router, then turn off your camera, wait for two minutes, and power it on.
2. If the LED on the camera is solid green, you can check if the camera is working fine and whether it has the latest firmware. If the firmware is not updated, try updating the firmware again in the Tapo app.
3. If the LED is still flashing green, try to press the reset button for 10 seconds to factory reset the camera, then reconfigure the camera and check if you can update the firmware successfully.
4. If the LED has other states or you encounter any problems during troubleshooting, please describe them in detail for further assistance.
Best Regards

Thanks for the response but I returned the unit. The camera worked "okay (picture, light, detection) but it refused to update, and without that it could not record to a hub, which was a must for me. The reset button did not actually work (holding for 5,10 or even 30s), so it couldn't be factory reset. Something was definitely faulty.
Thanks anyway
