Firmware Version: 1.1.19

All devices have the latest firmware and I have a homebase h500 as well with matter integration.

 

I can show the doorbell on my nest by saying "Hey google, show the doorbell" or "...show the cellar camera". But if I create an automation and manually run it nothing happens at all. If I misspell a camera or the doorbell's name though, then I get an error broadcast.

 

I tried many times to re-link the devices but it won't help. 

 

This is not related to the bug that the doorbell trigger doesn't work.

thank you for your reply. The issue is a Google Home issue which doesn't allow to automatically show cameras on Nest devices. This changed around April this year. Perplexity managed to find a post by a Google representative.

If you want to control the doorbell camera via the Nest automation entry, but it fails, please confirm the following information for further analysis.


  1. Please describe the content in the Nest automation entry.
  2. Send me (@Solla-topee) the doorbell camera's MAC address via a private message.
  3. You can try to run the automation entry, record the date and time when you run it, and send it to us.
