Hi guys need some help with a smart power strip I brought thinking it can do the below but now not sure. 
I have a AV cabinet that houses my home cinema amplifier (plugged in socket one) which needs external fans to help keep it cool due to the partially enclosed space it is in. My hope/thinking was that with the power strip I could turn my amplifier on with its own remote as usual and that the power strip would recognise that it was on via the energy usage changing and for it to turn the external fans (plugged in socket two) on but I can not seem to get to work, am I expecting too much with this?
