night vision color pro not work tapo C325WB v.2
I bought two Tapo C325WB cameras for color night vision. I configured the first one with version 1 and 1.3.7 firmware and is ok, while the other was with version 2 with 1.1.5 firmware..this have automatically activates the infrared there's no way to disable it. When I reboot the camera on the second attempt, the infrared turns off and the camera sees in color for a few moment. There seems to be a configuration issue since the two cameras also have different setting, spotlights off is not available with a problematic camera, i have try reset but not work and the firmware not change

Please bring back the spotlight off mode (full color mode without spotlight) to V2 as it is in V1. The picture quality is a massive downgrade now. The hardware is great and capable. Unfortunately I had the lens artifact as well with V1 and bought V2.
Firmware Tapo C325WB(EU)_V2_1.2.2 Build 250926 is already out:
Does this new firmware have the option to turn spotlight off in full color mode?
(I can not update to the new firmware via the app yet and consider returning V2 if it will not be implemented)
Thank you for your answer in advance!

Hi,
The firmware Tapo C325WB_V2_1.2.2 does not support the Spotlight Off mode. Our team plans to add this option to the camera via firmware updates; however, I do not have information on when the official firmware will be available.
You can contact your retailer to check if you can return the camera if you need this option immediately.

Hi,
I have a C325WB v1 which I use for aurora/noctilucent cloud watching as well as seeing if the sky is clear for astronomical observing. I'm holding off buying another one in case I get a v2 and the firmware fix for turning off spotlights and IR doesn't happen for any reason. I really hope a fix is made soon without the need for further hardware changes (i.e. new purchases for those that have purchased a V2 and run into this issue).
Example aurora still image from a V1 below.
Thanks
Pete

I just bought 3 of the V2. Very disappointed that the spotlight and IR cannot be turned off all together. Anyone tried to tape/cover the spotlight? Will there be a firmware update for this? Or should I return all 3 of them?

Hi,
A new firmware adds the "Spotlight Off" mode to the Tapo C325WB V2. If you would like to try it out, please refer to the thread below.
