Model: Tapo C310
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have two identical cameras, both with active accounts and the same login credentials. The only difference is that camera_1 is connected via an Ethernet cable, while camera_2 is on Wi-Fi.

I am currently at a remote location, trying to set up the Home Assistant add-on: Tapo Camera Control to view a live stream. Camera_1 connects without any issues, but camera_2 cannot complete the cloud login, reporting an 'Invalid cloud password' error.

Both cameras work perfectly fine through the Tapo Android app; I can perform all configurations, watch live streams, and download recordings from the SD card. I have already tried rebooting the camera, but it didn't help. I am reluctant to perform a factory reset, as I would lose the connection to my Android app.

What else can I check or do to connect this camera to Home Assistant? I have already ruled out a port conflict by testing them separately. I first connected to camera_1, deleted the configuration, and then connected to camera_2camera_1 worked flawlessly, but camera_2 refused the connection. The connection also fails even when I create a configuration for camera_1 and only change the IP address to that of camera_2. A Telnet test to port 443 on both cameras works fine.

Hi,
1. On the Tapo app > Me > Tapo Lab > Third-Party Compatibility page, please ensure this option is enabled, and then check if it helps in your situation.
Please note that we are unable to provide tech support for such an open-source platform.

2. If you are viewing the cameras remotely via RTSP/Onvif protocol but fail, you can refer to the following instructions to check if your settings are correct. Pay particular attention to the guidance in "Special Usage Scenarios."

How to View Your Tapo Camera Remotely via RTSP/ONVIF

Best Regards
