I have powered on my device after long time, and did a successful firmware update. But after some time, the Pan and tilt stopped working and the night vision lights are always on.
This also make the camera heat up slowly.

 

Tried below troubleshooting:

 

1. Device Restart - didn't help
2. Factory reset - didn't help

3. Reinstalled app / cleared data - didn't help.

 

below errors are shown when opening pan/tilt control OR the cPan and Tilt correction setting

Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported pan & tilt behavior.

 

  1. Whether the camera is powered by the original power adapter and cord that came with it in the package, rather than another power adapter or extension cable? If not, please power the camera with the original power adapter and cord, and then check if it works fine.

 

  2. How often does this phenomenon occur?

 

  3. When the Pan & Tilt feature stops working and the IR light turns on, rebooting the camera in the Tapo app will restore the camera temporarily, or not? How about powering the camera on and off? 
When the camera returns to normal, does the IR light turn off?

 

 4. When the camera is working, on the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Detection Info page, please tap the Wi-Fi icon and check the RSSI value.
