All devices appear offline

My Tapo app shows suddenly all my devices offline, but not sure that's true as I see indicators lights working and my light bulbs are on. Seems like an app issue. Any ideas how to resolve?

Hi,
Please confirm the following information about the reported offline behavior.

  1. What's the model number of your router? Do you have internet when connecting to the router's Wi-Fi on your phone/tablet/laptop?
  2. Try to turn off the Wi-Fi on your phone and use mobile data on it, ensure you have internet on your phone, then check if the Tapo devices will display online in the Tapo app.
  3. Try to download and install the Tapo app on a different phone and check the Tapo device's status.
  4. Take a Tapo camera as an example, please check the camera's model number, hardware version, and LED status. Then, remove the camera from the Tapo app, perform a factory reset, reconfigure it, and check if it is online in the Tapo app.

Best Regards

Thanks for the answers

1. All my devices have internet at Home. And they are many.

2. I tried it, nothing changed.

3. Downloaded and installed Tapo again. Same.

4. I followed the advice. Removed one cam, reset it, tried to add it but the app refuses to connect anymore. it's impossible to add the removed cam back to the app. It seems like an app issue. I have I deleted and re-downloaded the app, and nothing changes.

Re:All devices appear offline
Yesterday

Hi, I am having a similar, perhaps the exact same, issue.

Both my devices now appear offline on same day (yesterday) - different cities on different WiFi networks. (A device shared with me is still visible).

I have logged a report and followed all the AI trouble shooting steps but to no avail. I reset the device with which I am co-located and now it won't pair.

Hi,
What's your Tapo app's version? What's the model number and OS version of your phone?

If possible, please provide us with the model numbers of your Tapo devices and their current LED status. This helps verify whether the devices are connected to the internet.

Best Regards

Hi,
The latest Tapo app version is 3.14.104 for iOS devices. Please uninstall the Tapo app on your iPhone, then go to the App Store to download and install the latest Tapo app version. Check if this helps.

If the same phenomenon occurs, please refer to the following instructions to send us the app log.
How to get the log of the Tapo app

By the way, can you provide us with the model numbers of your Tapo devices and their current LED status, or any MAC addresses of your Tapo devices? You can send me(@Solla-topee) the MAC addresses via a private message.

Best Regards

I am asked from the app to give it local network permissions, but there's no such option in the Tapo iOS settings. Check image. What am I missing?
