  @David-TP Just to note I've recently encountered a similar issue with false positive blocks on the internal network following the recent firmware upgrades.

I have been wrestling with an issue with my Deco X20 setup where RDP connections between local computers would randomly fail and it would be impossible to remake any connections. The only thing in common was the Deco router, and indeed rebooting this would clear the issue for a short time, only for it to reoccur.

Eventually I linked the following event in the homecare logs to the failire of the conncections:

(cannot attach a picture for some reason)

SERVER-MSSQL_probe_response_overflow_attempt (CVE-technet.microsoft.com/en-us/secuSERVER-MSSQL_probe_response_overflow_attempt)

Disabling the Instrusion Protection functionality has resolved this issue, at the expense of no longer benefitting from the protections it offered.

  @JamesMas

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Could you please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco App log:

How to submit Deco APP log

When submitting the App log, it would be highly appreciated if you could add a screenshot of the attack records.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

  @David-TP  I can see that TP-Link and Deco team is happy and proud to launch the new Firmware Enhancement with Advanced Parental Control Service. Good for you! This is not criticism to you personally, its for the corporation and the team. Please forward to your head of products and software development.

I am blown away by the incompetence and for not picking up on negative feedback that clearly shows that your product is useless unless you can understand the weakness of your product.. You can spend hours and dollars on developing the most incredible new Advanced Parental Control but if the kids can get around them, ITS USELESS. Still no white-list function (not what I can see in the UI or your description) that prevents wifi clients from re-connecting with random mac-address and slip away from being picked up by their profile with restrictions. You can create several new improved parental control services but they are useless if you easily can get around them.

You might say.. "yea but set up a notification so you can pick up on when a new device is connecting..." You or any in your team doesn't seem to have real experience from how it might work in a family with children. Even in an early stage they get tech smart and knows how to get around your blocks. I am not talking about smart specific apps, vpns and stuff. Its easier than that... just change your Wifi connection in your device and you're good to go. Back to the notifications, yes we have them but it is not a solution, also we have weakness and dysfunctionally when it comes to notifications...

My feedback is that I would never pay for any additional functions, you cant even deliver on basics. I've pointed out the weakness on this forum before but still... nothing. I also have feedback on the non friendly UI. It should be easy for regular non-tech people to use it but that is not the case.

You might say "Skip our product and buy another if you're not happy." Yes we are buying something else, but you have to understand... its not an easy switch. Its called money and TIME.  Money already spent and it takes a while to live with your equipment and experience the reality of them. When invested money in something getting disappointed because I thought I bought a system with parental Control that works.... in the real world. But I was mislead.

Second why not paying extra for anything.. again you cant even keep up with the basics. See my other post Link to "Blocking Malware that isn't Malware"
