If you do not want to hear the sound when your phone receives a detection notification, please try the following steps.

1. For Android phones:
Usually, on the phone's Settings > Apps > Manage apps page, search for the Tapo app, and go to its Notification page, then you can turn off the notification sound for the Tapo app.
Note:
    1) Different Android phones may have different paths to turn off the notification sound. You can contact phone support for help if you can't find the path.
    2) After completing the above steps, unless you have muted your phone, you will still be able to hear sounds when you open the Tapo app and receive notifications in the Tapo app > Home tab > Bell icon page.

2. For iPhone:
You can go to Settings > Notifications page, find the Tapo app, and turn off the Sounds option.
