Model: Tapo C410 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 250314 Rel.64817n

My C410 has stopped detecting since SD card format.

##Background##

I had SD card recording on loop but the camera requested reformatting, which I did. But ever since the SD card is formatted, detection has stopped working.

***Note: Storing to SD card works. If I record manually or if there is motion while I have camera on live, it does store the recording successfully. So its not storage issue because I know I can store recording just fine.

## Issue ###

Camera does not detect motion, person, pet or vehicle. I have following configuration.

 - Detection sensitivity set to maximum

 - Recording schedule is set for 24/7

 - No privacy mode or zone enabled

 - Enabled all kind of detections and entire

 - Detection zone is full for all detection types

 - Already restarted a few times

Now before you tell me to adjust position or anything, I have set it up as per instructions and the detection feature was working we before with same configuration, same position and same angle.

Why i think the issue is specific to detection?

- I dont see led indications when I move around the camera detection zone.

- Detection region test (Beta) is not detecting either.

- I dont get notification for detections on my phone either

Additional notes:

- Firmware is upto date and auto update is enabled. I do t get any updates available when I check manually.

- Retrigger time is 0, record buffer is 10 sec and maximum clip length is 90 sec.

Can some one assist with this please, its only been just over 6 mnths since I started using this camera and already having issues. Not a good experience at all. Was going to recommend a friend to use it as well but not anymore due to this experience. Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Try to factory reset the camera and configure it, then do the range detection test again. If in the detection range test, the camera still cannot detect movements, then it is likely a problem with the PIR sensor. In this case, you may need to get a replacement. To proceed with the warranty, please contact the retailer or local TP-Link support

By the way, make sure the camera isn't installed upside down or tilted, as this can cause the PIR sensor's detection area to shift away from your target area, resulting in the camera being unable to detect movement.

FYI: Detection range of Tapo C425.
