Hi,

I have a group of Tapo C320WS around my house. I would like to be able to control a group of them (or of that's not possible at least all together) to go into different states by on click/command:

  • All cameras on privacy mode
  • All recording if movement is detected, but no light, alarm or notification.
  • All recording ans switching the spotlight on when movement is detected and sending a notification.

I hoped to accomplish this using shortcuts/smart actions or the detection mode, but encountered the following challenges:

  • The shortcuts can only set privacy mode on or off, there are no further actions visible I can configure as an action fo cameras.
  • There are only 2 detection modes (at home and away) and they only allow to set alarm on and off, where the alarm with light is flashing, not just continuous spotlight.

Anybody sees a possibility how I could realize this?

  @Edwinox

Hi,
Currently, the features on the Tapo cameras can't meet your requirements. Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll log your usage scenario and forward it to the relevant team for evaluation to improve our camera.
I moved this conversation into the 'Feature Request (Tapo)' area for better visibility. If other users have the same request, please vote on this thread or share your usage scenario here.
Best Regards
