Tapo C260 resolution bad
I just bought the C260. It seems that the 4K resolution is just marginally better than my 2K C225 ver. 1 camera.
Should it not be far better?4K vs 2K? On paper that is far better.
I am disappointed.
In low light conditions using daylight mode, the C225 is actually a tiny bit better.
Colors are great on both.
Compared to the C225 ver 2 they are both far better in every aspect. The C225 v2 is actually terrible.
The good things about the C260:
It has more configuration options and they are smarter and better.
But the resolution is not as expected. This is no real 4K 8MP. All I have is a resolution that takes up more storage space without the benefit of clearer and sharper images.
Is it just my camera or is the C260 4K 8MP resolution that bad?

@element72 they fixed facial recognition with that beta firmware:

It's good now.
They still should increase bitrate and add option to change threshold for night mode to reduce blurred images, but I don't think so, that they will do it, they use algorithms to detect when to switch to night mode.
It's the same issues with c225v2, bitrate should be higher, and let us change thresholds for night mode.
Extra issue with c225v2 - camera can't keep stable 30fps with HDR off, and when you use night mode it's maximum around 15fps. Don't know if they can fix it, but will see when I will get new beta.
