The Tapo C520WS currently lacks the ability to return to a preset or “home” position automatically after motion tracking or manual movement.

This is a basic and essential function for any Pan/Tilt camera, and it used to be available on older Tapo models (C200, C210, C225).

Without it, the camera stays pointing wherever it last tracked motion, which makes it miss new motion events and defeats the purpose of a default view.

Please re-enable or add an “Auto-return to preset position after X seconds/minutes” option in the Pan & Tilt or Tracking settings.
