Model: Tapo C260
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.3

Prior to upgrading firmware it was working great in home assistant.

Now it cannot connect.

C260 camera updated to latest firmware 1.1.3 build 251010 Rel.61433n.

Throws up the following error when I type in the IP address of the camera into the Tapo Home Assistant integration.

Connection error: ('Device connection error: 192.168.68.xxx: Cannot connect to host 192.168.68.xxx:443 ssl:<ssl.SSLContext object at 0x7f3d56c8dc70> [[SSL: SSLV3_ALERT_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE] ssl/tls alert handshake failure (_ssl.c:1032)]', ClientConnectorSSLError(ConnectionKey(host='192.168.68.xxx', port=443, is_ssl=True, ssl=<ssl.SSLContext object at 0x7f3d56c8dc70>, proxy=None, proxy_auth=None, proxy_headers_hash=None), SSLError(1, '[SSL: SSLV3_ALERT_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE] ssl/tls alert handshake failure (_ssl.c:1032)')))

I've tried rebooting via the app. Pulling the power and cold booting. Restarting router. This device has a dedicated IP reserved in a Deco router.

I've also tried turning off and then back on the 3rd party compatibility via the app.

There are a few other users in Home Assistant that have also experienced the same issue. https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/154818#event-20366179262

  @Coffee33

Hi,
The Home Assistant is a third-party platform that does not officially advertise support by TP-Link. If the camera can't connect to Home Assistant even after enabling the Third-Party Compatibility option in the Tapo app, we recommend contacting Home Assistant support for further assistance.
Best Regards

Hello, I have the same issue. Everything working fine till FW update. Any chance to downgrade? Any chance to see FW list with changes? It is not available on the internet. Especially the last version... Thank you!

  @Griffen

Hi,
We have no instructions to downgrade the camera's firmware. Usually, you can go to the camera's Support page on our official website > Firmware Release Notes column to see the changes in the new firmware.
Best Regards

  @Solla-topee There is no such information for this camera, there are only some older versions available. See https://www.tp-link.com/cz/support/download/tapo-c260/#Firmware-Release-Notes. :(
