Model: Archer NX200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 3.0.0 v60e0.0 Build 250725 Rel.73467n

Hello, after the last update, my nx200 v2 router started to work terribly. The connection stops working on all devices. The configuration panel says disconnected and a message like "Please configure DNS manually." I would like to downgrade to the previous version. Is this possible?

Some information for technical support to save time:
- Internet stops working on all devices at the same time
- After a few minutes, it starts working again(maybe a reboot helps)
- It happens multiple times every hour
- It doesn't seem to be an ISP issue
- I'd be happy if technical support would simply tell me how to downgrade to the previous version or to the factory default firmware
- Setting the DNS to Google or CloudFare doesn't help (I've tried both 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1, and even a mix of 8.8.8.8/1.1.1.1)
- Leaving custom DNS settings blank doesn't help

- I would hate to do a factory reset and lose all the settings i configured... but if it can help with the downgrade I would be willing to do it
- After the update, the router aggregates the bands B20, B1, N78, N38... before the update it aggregated N78, B7, B20, B3, B1

Thanks in advance

I turned off automatic band selection and manually chose the bands that I know worked before the update... I'll let you know if it fixes the problem

  @Shocke

Thank you very much. I'll wait for your update.

By the way, may I know your SIM service provider?

1.2.0 3.0.0 v60e0.0 Build 250725 Rel.73467n can't be downgraded back to 1.1.0 directly via web UI.

(If you check the bottom product label, would the hardware version be EU V2.0 or V2.2?)

It would also be appreciated if you could save a screenshot of the Internet status when the Internet dropped out:

Please also save a copy of the web UI system log.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hi David, thanks for your reply.

The model is the EU version v2.0.

Manually selecting the bands solved the issues. I still have some minor stability issue (with the bands locked manually) that i didnt have before the last update but i will need to further test to be sure they are related with the router update, they are so rare that they arent a problem.

The ISP is Very Mobile (WindTre). I have an uncapped 5G plan. The downside with this ISP is that my IP address changes every 4 hours, but I’ve checked and the disconnections I was getting(while i had the automatic band selection enabled) weren’t related to that.

To further debug the issue, I think I’ll try enabling automatic band selection again tomorrow, and in a few days I’ll update you with the results. If the issue happens again, I’ll make sure to take some screenshots of the router’s web interface and send them to you.

Best regards

  @David-TP

As mentioned, today I tried re-enabling the router's automatic band selection. Unfortunately, I didn't have to wait long and immediately noticed the disconnection issue I mentioned reappearing. I didn't notice any specific errors in the logs corresponding to the malfunctions. After the second malfunction, I decided to disable again the automatic band selection and manually choose the bands for the router to aggregate. However, during those two malfunctions, I took some screenshots, which I'm attaching. After this test, I feel even more confident that the cause of the instability was this latest update. I also saved the router's logs, but I prefer not to share them publicly.

The first image is from the first connection crash I noticed. The second image, attached as a file, is from the second crash, about 43 minutes after the first.
