I am on this firmware build for the H200 and live view with the C420 cams still does not work for me. I had a support ticket a few weeks ago and was told that the system needed to be replaced. Since I am out of warranty I was offered a 10% discount on a new one.

There was no mention whatsoever in my support ticket about this issue possibly being related to or resolved by a firmware update to the hub. I am only now seeing this on the forum. Can you confirm if there are any plans for further updates to the hub firmware that may fix this apparently known issue?

Since i don't know the details of your case, i can't tell whether the beta works for you, but you can certainly have a try.

@krychek  Beta firmware has been sent to your device, you may check it 30 minutes later in the Tapo app and perform the update.

I bought a D205 and it's working with the same hub.

You may be experiencing a separate issue. I recommend starting a new post and sharing more details of your case.

@Wayne-TP thanks, should that beta resolve missing recorded playback before and after events? I'm not sure if I understand it correctly by interruption in recorded videos. If it is aiming to solve that problem, then it's still same issue, missing few seconds of footage before and after events.

Here the biggest gap, 10 seconds of missing footage between events: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GeG6FiP_yQoAbT6A8KgvM8bd4o2Vuk4v/view?usp=drivesdk

But usually it's 1 to 4 seconds before, after events.

I factory reset the hub and formatted the card to check if the problem was solved, but it's still there.

From the information available, this does not seem to be a device defect but is probably caused by network conditions. I understand you’ve been dealing with this issue for a while and have noticed other users reporting something similar. But to be honest, the overall occurrence rate is low, your situation appears to be an individual case. To find the root cause and get a solution, i recommend reaching out to our technical support team for a one-on-one analysis.

I wish that it was network issue, it would be the easiest to fix. You don't get a lot of reports because its not possible to notice if you have only turned on event recording (it's default  state for new cameras). You can only notice it with continuous recording and you have to zoom timeline close to see gaps (it's hard to notice even with maximum zoom in app). I could agree networks problems if it wouldn't happen for all my 3 cameras plus it's only happening before and after recorded event. I tested 3 different routers, WiFi backup, hub wired, c260 with 5ghz WiFi or 2.4ghz, all possible configurations. I think it has been fixed but only if you have one camera recording to the hub. I will contact support again to let them know.
