Highlight Features 

1. Added support for the Distortion Correction feature 

Tapo D235's 180° ultra-wide-angle lens captures a wider field of view. However, because of the fisheye lens design, the images may exhibit some distortion. If you would like to see a more accurate representation, this new Distortion Correction feature will help. Please keep in mind that activating this function will reduce the visible area captured by the doorbell. 

Configuration Path: doorbell Device Settings > Video & Display > Distortion Correction 

Note: This feature is currently being gradually rolled out to devices via the cloud and has not yet been fully available for all devices. If your doorbell is updated to this latest firmware and you have the most recent app version but still do not see this feature option, that is normal. The rollout will continue to expand, we appreciate your patience.

2. Support continuous HDMI screen mirroring in Always-On mode 

Now, when the Tapo D235 is powered through a hardwired connection and the Always-On mode is activated, it can be linked to the Tapo H500 to provide continuous live view streaming via HDMI screen mirroring. 

If the Always-On mode is disabled or the doorbell is running on battery power, HDMI screen mirroring will only start when the doorbell detects an event. 

Note: to ensure this feature functions correctly, the Tapo H500 should have firmware 1.3.4 Build 20250916 rel.53390 or above versions.
