Hi,

 

Has anybody had any issues with their doorbell ringing since the firmware update?

 

My D210 doorbell has started ringing intermittently as though someone is there (still activates the light, sends the notification and rings the chime) but there's not a soul around. 

 

After it ringing at random times over the course of an hour at 3am this morning, I'm losing my mind.

 

Unfortunately, turning notifications and alerts off or setting the timings from 8am - 8pm doesn't seem to stop it either!

 

There's no sign of damage to the doorbell and no settings causing it so the only 2 options are a bug after the latest update or I have a ghost...quite appropriate for October but no so fun in the early hours.

To receive efficient assistance, please include a log from the doorbell in your email. How to get the log of Tapo Camera Additionally, more details of your case will help. For example, does the doorbell itself ring, or only the chime? Do you have a Tapo hub (which one)? Is it paired with the doorbell as a chime?

 

 

@CitizenJC Can you share more details of your case? What happened specifically? Is your doorbell hardwired or battery-powered? What's the wake-up method set for the doorbell, doorbell press or event?

This just happened to me, at 6am on the dot. It has never once happened before. D235 updated to firmware 1.2.1 this week (my fault for updating my damn doorbell...)

 

Please PLEASE fix this tplink
