Hi,

I have five smart plugs to control five lights in my sitting room. I've created a group and added the devices to it. However, I can't find any reference to being able to set an on / off schedule for the group. I have managed this for individul devices in other rooms. Is this possible? If so, how??! Failing that, is it possible to set an on/off schdule for the room?

You can do this by using a shortcut, check it out. How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app

  @Wayne-TP Thanks for the link.

I've just spent 15 mins trying to figure it out but it's very complicated (at least to me). I'll need to spend a lot more time playing with it.

For example, it's confusing when setting up a new automation, it asked for an effective time and a time of day.

  Hi @Pedr057,

Effective time is only to restrict an automation to be triggered between certain times, I think you can leave it set to "Always" for this case. You can add triggers in the "When" to make the automation run at certain times of the day. Hope this helps.
