I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and notice that the camera does not pick up all movement within the detection zone.

The camera zone focuses on the rear of my property encompassing the back door, patio area and driveway.

Viewing my camera now, my vehicle is clearly visible but the camera does not detect the car entering the driveway at all and only seems to detect movement once over halfway within the detection boundary.

 

Additionally, In the dark it doesn't detect me entering the property at all after parking my car on the driveway. Could the car lights be affecting the camera in this particular instance?

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if the camera's detection feature is not working well.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
 

Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.
  1. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, check the camera's firmware and hardware versions.
  2. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page, send us the screenshots of the Detection page, the detection zones, and the enabled detection types pages.
  3. Would you please send us the video showing that the vehicle or person can't be detected by the camera?

 

You can upload the video and screenshots to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
