Tapo C560WS camera: I would like an option never to turn on the spotlight.
Tapo C560WS camera: I would like an option never to turn on the spotlight. Currently I can only lower the spotlight (set it to a value of 1), but I want to be able to switch it off completely, so that it will never turn on.

Hi,
Typically, in the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Night Mode Settings, if you select Infrared mode, the spotlight light won't turn on unless you manually enable it on the camera's Live View page. So, keep the Infrared Mode selected and do not manually turn on the spotlight; it will stay off.
Note: In the camera's Alarm feature, please select Alarm Type to Sound, rather than Sound & Light, if you don't want the spotlight to flash when detecting events.
Best Regards

Thanks for your reply, but this is not completely what I want.
I actually do not want to switch on the infrared light either.
Rationale:
My camera is looking at a street that has lights turned on in the evening.
I would prefer seeing 'a bit less' then switching on infrared (or turning on a spotlight).
Can this be added as feature?

Hi,
Based on your description, you can set the camera's video mode to Day mode rather than Auto mode on its Live View page. Then the camera won't switch to Night mode, the Infrared LED won't turn on, and the spotlight won't turn on unless you manually activate it.
