Tapo D235 Doorbell
Installed the Tapo 2.4Ghz. First two days everything ok, then it lost the connection despite good wifi signal.
Reset of the device is not possible! Every few seconds the D235 pops up as a wireless client theb it gone, reapears, gone and so on.
Another router same ssid, same password. All other device reconnect, but the D235 still no connection. Reset again not possible. Why is it not possible to erase the Wifi settings on the D235. Why is it not possible to reset the device?

Hi,
As you can see in the QIG > Doobell Appearance of the Tapo D235, on the back of the D235, you can press and hold the Sync/Reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the camera.
If you fail to reset the camera by pressing and holding the Sync/Reset button, please describe the LED status on the camera before reset, during reset, and after reset for further analysis.
Best Regards

After holding the Reset/Sync Button for 5 or 10 seconds it flashes red rapidly. Thats during the reset. After the reset the red light flashes 4 times, no flash for 4 seconds, than again 4 red flashes or 3 red flashes and so on. On the previous router and also on a another Access point it shows up as a client for about 20 seconds then disappears for a few second and reconnects again. Blocking the D235 as client and allowing it again has no effect. If i do a reset with an powerbank attached the device flashes amber rapidly the last one flashes red, after that 2-3 red ones every second. then one red Immediately followed by fast amber flashing and so on.

Hi,
Please try the following steps and see if they help.
1. Remove the Tapo D235 from the Tapo app if it's there.
2. Remove an SD card from the doorbell camera if there is one.
3. Press and hold the power on/off button for three seconds to power it off, then power it on.
4. Press and hold the Sync/Reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the camera.
If the same phenomenon persists, you can contact your retailer or the local support team to check if your doorbell camera is under warranty.
Best Regards
