Simple as that. I set up automatically switch cameras on when I leave and off when I arrive.

20 % of the time they don't switch on when I leave

99 % of the time the don't switch off when I get home.

Really wonder what is the point of them offering this as an option that rarely if ever works.

Yes home address is registered 

Yes I have selected all appropriate cameras 

Yes I've done it multiple times.

Also cameras go "offline"every week.

And often have to be totally reset. All in all a very disappointing product

  1. You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if the automation entry does not work.
      What can I do if the Smart Action/Automation doesn't take effect as expected?
 

  2. For the offline phenomenon, you can follow the instructions below to troubleshoot. You can also enable the Auto Reboot feature on the camera's Device Settings > Reboot Camera page for testing.
      What should I do if my Tapo smart device keeps losing connection or going offline? 

 

  3. What's the model number and MAC address of your camera? You can send me (@Solla-topee) the MAC address via a private message.
