Because there is a streetlight within the camera's field of view, the camera does not switch to night mode even at night, which prevents the spotlight from functioning.

Using the alert light feature causes it to flash, which would disturb the neighbors.

 

I would like either a feature to switch camera modes via shortcuts or automation, or a feature that automatically turns on the spotlight when an event is detected within a specified time period.

Hi, 
Why do you want the camera to turn on the spotlight at night when detecting events?
You may try adjusting the camera lens so it excludes the streetlight, then check whether the camera switches to Night Mode at night.

Although I've been trying to prevent streetlights from being reflected, it still doesn't switch to night mode without manual setting.


I had intended to use the camera light in a "motion-activated sensor light" kind of way, but I realized that this can be achieved by setting the night mode to "smart mode."
It feels a bit slow, though, from event detection to start recording and then switching to full-color mode...


Currently, I manually switch to night mode after sunset.
