I have noticed that after a power outage (neighbourhood-wide), my outdoor camera loses initialization of its SD Card. It otherwise functions, but does not record. Following past guides with a similar issue, I tried rebooting the camera through the app, but this does not remedy the issue.

Is reinitializing, losing all previous recording the only way to make the camera start recording to SD card again?

Hi,
In your situation, please try removing the SD card from the camera, reinserting it, and then testing if you can store video recordings on it. You can try removing and inserting the SD card several times (e.g., 3 times).

If the same phenomenon persists, please connect the SD card to your PC via an SD card adapter, copy and paste the video recordings on your PC, then insert the SD card into the camera and format it to work again.

Best Regards
