Tapo C246D Bottom Camera Keeps Rotating and Non-Responsive
I just got my Tapo C246D and noticed that the bottom camera keeps randomly panning.
When the bottom camera is rotating, the RTSP streams and control from the app is inaccessible.
I have disabled smart tracking, so the bottom camera should not pan or tilt.
I also have a strong WiFi connection, I can see that the camera signal is -46dBm.
In my router, I can see that the device has had no reconnections.
What could possibly be the problem?

Hi,
From your description, it seems the camera is randomly rebooting, so it's panning. If the phenomenon occurs only when the camera is in Night mode, it's recommended to confirm whether the camera is powered by the original power adapter and USB adapter cable that come with the camera in the box. Using other power adapters or an extension power cable may affect the camera's performance.

It appears that this only happens when auto night mode is enabled.

Hi,
1. Please ensure you have powered on the Tapo C246D with the original power adapter and cord that came with the camera.
2. If the system LED on the C246D is flashing red and green, it means the camera is not successfully configured. You can press and hold the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset, then reconfigure it and check whether it works.
Best Regards
