Motion detection through window glass

Motion detection through window glass
Motion detection through window glass
Sunday

Hello,

I'm constantly looking for any kind of indoor camera which is able to detect motion through a window, means capture video feeds outside of the building from inside. Reason is to to have a secondary angle to the doorbell camera.

My old D-Link DCS-932L was able to do it, means didn't use infra-red for motion detection. It doesn't seem to be rocket science to implement other forms of motion detection to any kind of camera, but could enhance the functionality of the device.

Hi,
We don't recommend placing an indoor camera behind a window. If the camera is installed behind a window and monitors outside, infrared lights may cause reflection when the camera is in Night mode, resulting in blurry and unclear images, thereby hindering timely detection of moving objects. If the infrared lights are turned off at night, the camera's live view page may display a black page, which also affects the camera's ability to detect events.

If you want to monitor the outside area, an outdoor camera is recommended. You can refer to this link to find one that interests you.

Best Regards
