I’m having a problem with my camera settings.

I’ve set a schedule: continuous recording during the hours I’m in the room, and motion-detection recording when I’m out. However, the app seems to be completely ignoring the schedule. it only records when it detects movement. If I’m walking around the room, I receive nonstop notifications.

How can I fix this?

Hi, 
If you have inserted an SD card into the camera to store video recordings, please refer to the instructions below to configure your storage settings, including the recording schedule.
How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card

Usually, you can set the camera to record detection video clips or continuous video recordings according to the recording schedule, but it's unable to set the camera to record videos when you're in or out of your home.
Please send us a screenshot of the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Recording Schedule page. This will help us know when your camera records videos.

 

If you have subscribed to the Tapo Care plan, the camera will record detection video clips to our cloud server all day.
