Motion detection and notifications work only in live mode, in both home or away mode all 4 detection and notifications (motion, person, pet, car) and highest sensitivity, detection zone is set as well.

When Tapo app is not open on phone, or app is open but not the live cam, there is no motion detection.

Watching the cam live, everything works fine, all motions detected and recorded.

 

Where can be the mistake with settings?

Hi, 
It appears that the motions in front of the camera can't wake the camera from sleep mode, so it won't detect events and send notifications. You can refer to Part 2 in the following instructions to troubleshoot.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
