I have six cameras on my app recently they have started to fail to record motion detection clips. At first it was one camera then a day later another camera now no cameras are recording. I can see on the playback calendar the last time the camera recorded and the days since it last recorded. All settings are good. Have reformatted one camera SD card which will now record on continuous but no recording on motion. Thinking the next step is to reinstall app then reset all cameras. Not sure what to do.

Hi,
Take the camera that starts to record continuously as an example. Please confirm the following information for further analysis.


  1. What's the model number, hardware, and firmware version of the camera? You can find them on the camera's Device Settings > Device Info page.


  2. What's the model number and capacity of the inserted SD card?


  3. Please enable the Notification or Alarm feature on the camera, then test if you can receive motion detection notifications on your phone or Tapo app, or test if the camera alarm sounds when it detects events.

  4. On the camera's Device Settings > Detection page, please check what detection types are enabled. On the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page, please send us screenshots of the Local Storage and Recording Schedule pages.
