Model: Tapo D230S1
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.20

Bought this together with a H200 hub. Hub connected to wifi, all other devices I connected (motion detectors, door sensors) work fine. Doorbell connected to hub and set up fine in the app and gave no notice of needing a firmware update. However, when I try to access the doorbell in the app it just blinks "Firmware updating..." once and has done that for a solid 40 minutes now. Doorbell and hub are next to each other on the table. Doorbell gives a notification when I move my hand in front of it and rings when I press the button.

I can't access the doorbell from the app, I can't remove it from the app, and I don't want to reset it because I don't want to brick it in case it is really updating. Any ideas?

Got it working by removing the battery and waiting for a few minutes. When I reinserted the battery the doorbell became accessible via the app.

Is the doorbell now accessible in the app? If its detection feature is active, the update should be complete. If not, please try force-closing and reopening the app, or reinstalling it.

What do you see when accessing the doorbell? Can you share a screenshot here?
