H200 → H500 migration: Sub-1G sensors not appearing in “Migrate” list (T100/T110/T310/S200B)
H200 → H500 migration: Sub-1G sensors not appearing in “Migrate” list (T100/T110/T310/S200B)
Hi all,
I’m trying to migrate my Sub-1G devices from an older hub to a new one, but the Tapo app shows zero devices in the migration screen.
Setup
- Old hub: Tapo H200, HW 1.0, FW 1.6.0 Build 20250915 rel.33520
- New hub: Tapo H500, HW 1.0, FW 1.3.12 Build 20260128 rel.51424
- Sub-1G devices:
- Tapo T100 (FW 1.12.0 Build 230512 Rel.103011)
- Tapo T110 (FW 1.9.0 Build 230704 Rel.154531)
- Tapo T310 (FW 1.5.0 Build 230105 Rel.150707)
- Tapo S200B (FW 1.12.0 Build 231121 Rel.092444)
In the Tapo app, on the H200 hub: Settings → Migrate Connected Devices → select H500
The list is empty (none of the Sub-1G devices show up), so I can’t select anything to migrate.
What I already tried
- Confirmed both hubs are online, same Tapo account/home, same LAN
- Triggered each device while the migration screen is open:
- T100: motion event
- T110: open/close contact
- T310: temperature change event
- S200B: button press
- Moved devices close to the new hub (H500)
- Verified firmware versions as above (no additional updates offered in my app at the moment)
Questions
- Is Sub-1G migration from H200 → H500 currently supported for these models/firmware versions?
- If yes, is there a specific prerequisite (minimum hub firmware / app version / sensor firmware) for them to appear in the migrate list?
- If not supported, is the recommended workaround to remove/reset and re-pair each sensor to H500 (and rebuild automations)?
Any guidance from users who successfully migrated Sub-1G devices to H500 would help. If needed, I can share screenshots of the Device Info pages and the empty migration list.
