Hello!

I recently installed this security camera. I was amazed at what it seemed to offer for the price. However so far it has not been easy to live with and is absorbing time and patience to set up. My main problem currently is that I am unable to download anything from it. After some time the list of downloaded files just shows 'failed' in red. Any ideas as to the cause?  It's connected via WiFi to the house router and although its out of doors it shows a moderately good signal.

Hi, 
You can refer to Scenario 4 in the instructions below to troubleshoot if you can't download video recordings from an SD card inserted into the camera.
What should I do if I encounter issues while playing back videos from an SD card?
 

If the same phenomenon persists, please provide the following information for further analysis.
  1. What's the model number and OS version of your phone? What's the Tapo app version?
  2. Do you want to download the video recordings from the SD card or our cloud server(if you have subscribed to the Tapo Care plan)?
  3. Can you send us a screenshot of the page showing the "failed" message?
  4. List the troubleshooting you did.
