Morning TP-Linkers

I am have a nightmare trying to setup my C210 to my DVR. I have since connected another IP camera to the DVR with no issues. When connecting the C210 the I get a yellow triangle on status (DVR is Annke DT81GB) indicating "Resolution or Nitrate has reached the limit" my tapo is set to 740p and 15fps and it's not having anything. Any advice or are they just not compatible.

Thanks everyone

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you fail to establish an RTSP/Onvif connection.
What can I do if fail to stream the Tapo camera via the RTSP/ONVIF protocol?

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
  1. Please go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page to check its hardware and firmware version.

  2. Have you subscribed to the Tapo Care service? Is there an SD card inserted into the camera for video storage?

  3. How many devices are streaming the camera's live feed simultaneously? Via the Tapo app or a third-party app?

  4. When you establish the RTSP/Onvif connection on your DVR, what URL do you use?

  5. Please try to stream the camera with another third-party app, such as VLC or Agent DVR, and check if the RTSP/Onvif connection can be established successfully. (How to View Tapo Camera on PC, NAS, or NVR Using RTSP/ONVIF)

Best Regards

Hi thanks for you message, I have tried everything I have had the camera stream through my laptop on my network via VLC player this was also while streaming to the tapo app. Not sure my DVR can do the RTSP as can't find a option for it.

Any other options or should I just return the camera and give up 😂 😂 😂

Hi,
If you are already viewing the camera's live feed in both the Tapo app and VLC, and you now want the camera to establish an ONVIF connection with your DVR, please pay attention to the resolution/stream URL being used. For example, if you previously used high resolution or stream1 on the DVR, try switching to low resolution or stream2 for testing.

If you are willing to continue troubleshooting, please record a video showing the steps you take when establishing the ONVIF connection between the DVR and the camera, and send it to us for analysis. You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Also, could you please send me the camera's MAC address via a private message? You can find it in the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page.

Best Regards
