C220 cant pan left, the camera clicks but doesnt turn.
Hi,
Since yesterday ive started having a problem with my camera. Its been working fine since September 2025 up until now.
I have 4 manual viewpoints set up : Left, Right, Front High & Front Low.
Since yesterday, it cannot manage the 'Left' view, stopping short - the camera motor is still trying & you can hear some clicks.
This then throws out all the other viewpoints being completely wrong.
Ive tried a full reset + pan & tilt correction but nothing seems to work.
Any help would be great, Thanks.

Hi,
In this case, please confirm the following information for analysis.
1. Please try manually pan the camera lens left with your hand to ensure no foreign objects are blocking its movement. For example, if the camera can't pan left even when you push it with your hand, it's recommended to check whether any foreign objects are blocking its rotation.
2. If there are no foreign objects, please check if you can pan the camera left manually by clicking the arrow button in the Tapo app > camera's Live View > Pan & Tilt page.
3. Do you mean when you tap the Right, Front High & Front Low preset viewpoints after failing to pan left, the corresponding viewpoints are incorrect?

@Solla-topee Thanks for the reply.
I can turn the camera with my hand & it feels smooth in its movement, the camera is mounted (indoors) on a homemade bracket which is clear of any obstructions.
(worth mentioning i have the camera mounted upside down with the picture inverted in the settings)
If i click manually on the arrow buttons i can get it to move about half the distance it used to turn towards the left & then i can hear a clicking sound from the camera, like the mechanism is still trying to move but nothing moves. At this point if i try to return to my pre-saved viewpoints, they are completly different to how they were saved.
Many Thanks.

Hi,
Please try the following steps and check if they help.
1. Please do not mount the camera upside down, and then test whether the same phenomenon still occurs.
2. You mentioned before that you tried a full reset, but it didn't work. If this refers to restarting the camera, please press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset, then reconfigure the camera and check if it works properly.
3. If the same phenomenon persists, you can contact your retailer or our technical support team to check whether your camera is under warranty.
Best Regards
