Model: Deco S4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.7.0 Build 20250718 Rel. 68299

I recently upgraded my Deco firmware to v1.7.0 and since then I'm having problems streaming video (Apple TV, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer). The Decos have been absolutely fine before this upgrade. I'm running 1Gbps broadband - I've run some speed tests and I'm seeing reasonable download speeds of 150-350 Mbps throughout my house, but jitter of 60-70 and packet loss of 3-4% away from the prime Deco unit.

I've tried performing a factory reset and re-building my Deco network, but the units won't revert to a previous version of the firmware. Looking on the TP-Link support page for my hardware, it says about v1.7.0:

Note: This version upgrade is irreversible and you cannot downgrade to the previous firmware after the upgrade.

So I guess that's to be expected.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Hi,
If you have the video streaming app (Apple TV, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer) installed on your phone/tablet and can't stream videos after the Deco S4 updated firmware, please refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.
