Hello,
Thank you for your message and for providing the detailed information.
At the moment, the Tapo app does not support scheduling the motion detection feature itself to turn on and off at specific times. However, you can achieve a similar result by configuring separate schedules for notifications and recording.
Specifically, you may set the notification and recording schedules to be active only between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., while disabling them during the daytime. This way, motion events will only be recorded and notified during your desired time period, even though motion detection remains enabled in the background.
For recording schedule, please go to the Tapo app>camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page> Recording Schedule.
For notification scheule, plaese refer to this guide:How to configure the Notification feature for the Tapo & Kasa devices on the Tapo app
We appreciate your interest in this feature, and your feedback has been noted as a feature request for future improvements. Please feel free to let us know if you need guidance on setting up the schedules or have any other questions.
Best Regards.
