Scenario:
I have 2 shortcuts in app: [Home] and [Away]  (shortcuts on main page! not Home Away buttons in Camera sections)
i have configured:
When i press [Home] turn OFF notifications for motion sensor. When leaving i press [Away] to turn it back ON.

I have set camera notification for person detection and i want disable these notifications too.
Currently camera has only these predefined actions for shortcuts: Enable/disable privacy mode, Turn on/off Motion tracking which is not usable.
I need the same behavior for cameras: Turn on/off Notifications.

I know there exists [Home] and [Away] buttons in Cameras section but why press "duplicity" buttons?

Idea:
maybe it should activate all Home/Away configuration from Camera section with all settings that are deeper inside.
So in camera shortcut configuration you add new actions: Turn Home/Away mode (valid only for camera)

Hi,

Thank you for sharing this use case. Turning on/off your camera’s detection notifications based on your Home/Away modes is a feature we support. Have you had a chance to look for the notification controls within the mode settings themselves?

 

Home/Away Mode provides preset configurations for multiple cameras, including Detection, Alarm, Privacy Mode, and Notification settings (specific settings may vary by model).

To enable Home/Away Mode, open the Tapo app > Cameras tab > tap the Home/Away Mode card. The selected mode settings will override current camera settings and apply to all selected cameras in the mode.

  @Hilbert-TP  I know about Home/Away Mode in Cameras tab. My idea is execute this mode from home shortcuts.Not 2 times press [My home] shortcut and then again [Home] in cameras tab to disable all notifications. Just one click to disbale all notifications.

Or vice versa - alow disable motion sensor notification from Home/Away Mode in Cameras tab, but this has less logic due Cameras tab placement. 

Easyiest solution is just add to camera shortcut action: "Turn Home/Away mode" and then just "run" existing code from Cameras tab.
You just create "shortcuts" for something that already exists. Very easy to code, no breaking changes in app. I search this forum and people already ask for this functionality in past.

If Home/Away mode is triggered via shortcuts or a Smart Action, it is currently unsupported. We will record your request and pass it on for feedback. In the meantime, you may also participate in the relevant main thread and vote to help increase its priority.
