Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.3 build 260423

After updating to firmware version 1.3.3 Build 260423, my Tapo C500 stopped working. The video stream won't load; it just keeps trying to connect until a viewing error pops up. Also, the camera's LEDs are now stuck on orange. What should I do? Is this a known issue with this specific firmware version?"

  @Kowal

Hi,

The solid amber LED indicates the camera has been disconnected from the cloud. Are you sure you can still watch the camera remotely when its LED turns amber?

We have not yet received similar feedback specifically related to the Tapo C500's firmware, and under normal circumstances, the firmware update process should not cause this problem. Based on the symptoms you described (orange LED and persistent connection error), we recommend performing a reset and reconfiguration of the camera as the most effective initial step: How to Factory Reset Your Tapo Camera: Two Methods

Important Note: Resetting the camera will restore all settings to factory defaults. You will need to reconfigure your Wi-Fi connection, motion detection zones, and any other personalized preferences afterward.

Best Regards,
