I need to add a few more smart devices to my home ASAP, and I am faced with a decision on whether to continue using TP-Link products or cut my losses and move to another brand. One big deciding factor is the ability to use a single App to manage my existing Kasa devices and new Tapo devices (if I buy them).
I appreciate the beta programme is closed and you are no longer taking new applications. However, please could you indicate when the App is likely to be released for general use and is it possible to get access to the beta version now?

i dont'know if i am a beta tester but i have dowload the Beta app on APKMIRROR.
I find the new layout perfect but it ll be perfect if we could move the position of each items on the principal screen.
Like this we could seen directly the items which are important for us

It looks like the beta has closed as of 8/15 - pity as I just stumbled upon this. Is it confirmed that the next official Tapo app will have Kasa support? Do we know when that's coming?
To those of you who are using the beta app, did the devices pull in automatically or did they need to be re-registered? I am adding some Tapo devices soon and was looking at using the Watt app - but won't pursue this if the official app is being released soon. I have quite a few Kasa cameras and smart plugs i'll be retaining.
Also wondering if the Kasa Care subscription I just renewed will carry over. This partly answered here (https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3614/) but isn't specific about whether the recordings are viewable within the Tapo app or if I'll have to use the Kasa app for that.

Hello everyone, the Tapo app 3.0 is currently undergoing a gradual rollout!
Go to the Google Play or Apple App Store to check if you're included in the distribution and get early access to the new App!
Why the new app has less features? I can't disable night mode for cameras any more. I can't set auto mode for bulbs in groups. I can't have preset colour for group of bulbs. New icons are shiny but the new app breaks my basic usage scenarios.
