Model: HS110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

I ordered a new HS110 from an online seller on Lazada Philippines but I'm having problems making it work.

HS110 won't turn off via Kasa app or physical power button.

I tried multiple factory resets, changing sockets, plugging in a different device. But still the same.

I read here in the forum that I'm supposed to hear a "click", however, I don't hear one when using the app or physical power button.

Although, when I do a factory reset, or when I plug the HS110 into a socket, I hear one loud click. Probably only when the device first boots up.The attached device turns ON after that click, but cannot be turned Off anymore after.

Via manual unplugging, and physically pressing the power button:

Devices I tested:

16" 50w stand fan
Samsung Charger (for S8)

Desktop CPU

@Andrew_B

Thanks for your clarification.

Cause you have tried different sockets, appliances and reset it but still failed, there may have something wrong with the HS110.

What is the model number of the appliance plugged into it? And what is the power consumption?

When and where did you buy it?

What is the current serial number?

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

Hi, first thing I tried was a 50w stand fan. I'll send you a pic of the serial number and hope that it could help you identify the batch of defective products.

Anyway, I already returned the item to the seller last week and ordered 3 cheap unbranded smart plugs instead.

Thanks for your reply.

Seems that this device is faulty; anyway, cause you have returned it and got another 3 smart cheaper plugs instead, you can use them now.
