Model: HS105
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I have three of the HS105 smart plugs and they're super easy to set up! However, last night, a set of holiday lights were not working on one of the plugs. So, initially I thought there may be an issue with the plug and had reset it to factory settings. However, now when I attempt to add the device back to my network, I can not get passed the set up, as it keeps telling me there was an error. Once I connect the wifi to the TP-Link network, that is when the error message appears. Is there anything else I should be trying? I just want the plug to work properly again.

Much thanks in advance.

@TP-Link The following process worked:

1) unplugged all three smart plugs

2) removed them from the Kasa app / deleted the app from iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 14.2)

3) left the smart plugs unplugged overnight

4) reinstalled the Kasa app the following day and added the devices back (took less than 5 min to install all three smart plugs)

Thank you for reaching out, much appreciated!

Hope this helps others!

Should I try resetting the router?

@EastCoastKal

Good day,

Can I have a picture of the error when failed to set up the HS105

What is the model number of your smartphone and it is IoS?

And what is the model number of your home router?

 We don’t need to reset the router before we find out what happened in case it caused more problems.

Thank you very much!
