Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.17

Hi,

A month ago I have bought five Tapo C200 cameras. I successfully can see image and record video .

But the five cameras show different and wrong date-time. I am in Spain (UTC +1)

On 8th March 2021 at 04:26:00, they show the following data:

a. 16-12-2020 07:58
b. 18-12-2020 23:03
c. 18-12-2020 23:14
d. 18-12-2020 12:07
e. 18-12-2020 11:58

I think it is not a router's problem because the five cameras are connecting to the same router.

Please, can you help me?

Regards.

@Valdenebro
the solution for my case was setting the router firewall at a medium security level, not the highest one that blocked TP-Link NTP server.

@BigAl_2021  Good day,

Thank you for your feedback.
Many factors could lead to the incorrect time on Tapo camera, we had a troubleshooting guide here that may help fix this issue, please give it a try:

May I know do you use any NVR or ONVIF software. Feel free to leave a comment there with case details and we will look into it further, thank you.

@Cuauhtemoc Good day,

Nice sharing ! It seems that your router firewall is pretty strict. I'm curious of the Model number of your router, may I know that? Thanks in advance.

@Valdenebro Hi Manuel,

May I know did your camera get connect time right now? Did you adjust router firewall settings as suggested by @Cuauhtemoc  If not, please try the debug APP I sent you by private message and please help collect the log file on camera, thank you.

If they are good, please ignore this message, thank you.

@Solla-topee

Hi,

My router's firewall has only 2 positions: on and off. I shouldn't turn it off because it's dangerous. That is why I cannot test @Cuauhtemoc's advice. Therefor, I continue with the devices with incorrect date and time.
I have not received yet your APP to debug my devices.
Could you please send it to me?
All the best

Manuel

@Valdenebro Hi Manuel,

Please try suggestions here first:

1.Make sure the camera is connected to the Internet and can be controlled using 3G/4G or other Wi-Fi networks.

2. Check if the windows computer connected to the same router can sync the time.

How to  sync the time on windows 10:

        Step 1: Tap the Windows key + I button simultaneously on the keyboard to launch the Windows Settings menu.

        Step 2: Select 'Time & Language'.

        Step 3: In the 'Date & Time' section, navigate to scroll down to the 'Synchronize your clock' sub-section and tap the 'Sync now' button.

3. If you have any NVR or some 3rd party software, please turn that off first, reboot camera and see camera will get correct time

 If still the same problem, we‘d like to follow up your case via email and sent you the beta firmware via email  (please try the Beta firmware we sent to you in 2nd email), please check email subject ‘【Forum ID 256254 】’ in your inbox, thank you~
