P100 plug not connecting to wifi
P100 plug not connecting to wifi
My P100 plug won't connect to my wifi.
After successfully identifying the plug and my wifi, I select my wifi name and type the password in - a red message pops up saying "check wifi password"
I know this password if correct as I typed it in on the phone I'm using now and everything is fine!
Please someone let me know what I can do!
Thanks in advance!

What should I do if I fail to configure the Tapo Smart Plug?
If smart plug not broacasting ' Tapo Plug XX' Wi-Fi SSID, it's a nice step to try to factory reset it first, then follow app instructions to set up the smart plug.

FWIW the TP100 (v2.0 hardware) would not connect to my (Apple APX-based) wifi network. The TAPO app gave back 'unable to connect to your network', and sometimes 'The encryption of this Wi-Fi is not supported'.
By temporarily disabling my 5GHz WiFi, I was able to successfuly setup the TP100. I've since re-enabled the 5GHz radio, all seems good. The firmware was already up to date.
Not a very impressive 'feature' for the TP100. It is cheap, though
Hope that helps.
