Model: Tapo P100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.6 Build 20210827 Rel 37578

Tapo P 100 does not cut the power when I switch off the Smart Plug.

Neither from the App nor manual switch off from the button does not work.

I made reset several times but didn't help.

Seems like a hardware problem. I bought 9 months ago.

Tapo ON (See the Green LED)

Switch off manually or via App

Tapo OFF (No Green LED)

@Ali_Turkey

Thank you for the detailed post, make sure you've run some basic troubleshooting steps

Try a different device connected to Tapo plug

Factory reset plug: How to factory reset the Tapo smart plug

May I know what is the model of the device and its wattage, e.g. Bed Lamp 15W

Does the issue occur after a thunderstorm or power outage?

If still the same , it could be a faulty unit. You could contact retailer or local support to check device warranty.

Hope this helps

@Solla-topee

I tried different device.

I have done factory reset several times.

It is a LED lamp. Should not be more than 5W.

It didn't happen after a power outage or thunderstorm. My power system is built on high standards with surge protections.

So it is a faulty unit.

@Ali_Turkey Thank you for providing more details, that sounds defective to me, you could try to get a replacement unit then.
