Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.17

Hello,

I bought this camera (C200) and the app worked perfectly for the first weeks or so, until now.

 

When I open the app it says the camera is online, but when I tap on it I get a gray screen loading, until it asks me to retry.

If I press 'retry' like 5 or 6 times I can sometimes view the camera, but it's really annoying since I need to wait like 10 minutes before

it starts working.

 

I tried it also on two other phones: another android and an iphone, same problem. Tried restarting the camera, the phone and even tried reinstalling the app, nothing worked.

 

Any idea on what could be the problem?

Can I know are you watching camera Live view and get ' retry' error 

  • When access camera  locally (phone connected to home Wi-Fi network),is there any error? 
  • When access camera  remotely (LTE or different network) from App, is there any error? 
  • please share a photo of error message 
  • Mac address of camera (please share by private message)

 

If camera work fine when phone connected to local home Wi-Fi network, here are some tips : 

  • Try to connect camera directly to main router, not extenders or AP 
  • Try to change router DNS to 8.8.8.8, save the settings and reboot router
  • Check if router firewall blocked tp-link domain 
  • Confirm kasa app & camera firmware are both up to date 
  •  

May I know the model and Android / IOS version of phone ?

Hello   @ChiragGupta 

If your camera has been worked fine and suddenly live view is inaccessible.

Try to reboot camera first,if that does not work, please try to factory reset camera and reinstall camera in the app
